William (Bill) W Moore of Seguin, TX passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born on December 20, 1937 in Barlow, KY where he grew up before moving to Jackson, MI, where he lived until his graduation from high school.
Bill worked as service technician for several companies and retired in October 2014. He was actively involved in traveling in his RV and watching every Nascar race possible, even having a room dedicated to Nascar.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William (Buck) D Moore and L Pauline (nee Yarborough) Moore and his sisters: Sue Swihart and Linda Stanley.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Darlene Moore; three step-sons: Blake (Kimberly) Hackler; Damon Hackler and Brandon (Carrie) Hackler. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Jeanette Moore, and his children: Dallas Moore, Denise (Brian) Maxwell, Diana (John) Wiger and David (Wendy) Moore. He also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and two great grandchildren arriving in the Spring of 2024. He will also be missed by numerous friends who were always ready to watch a race or share a story or a cold beer.
Bill will be remembered as a fun loving, beer drinking, diehard Nascar fan. He loved nothing more than climbing in his RV for a road trip. If the RV was headed to a Nascar race, all the better. Friday nights on the deck were a favorite time that started when he and Darlene lived in Kansas City. Bill kept that tradition after moving to Arlington, TX (for 22 years) and continued when they moved to Seguin, TX, 16 years ago. Bill worked hard and he played hard – he will be missed.
The family would like to thank GRMC Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Bill in his final days. As hard as it was to say goodbye, the Hospice Group made it a bit easier.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on the Deck at 143 Hickory Drive, Seguin, TX, on April 20, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.
