July 14, 1984 - July 22, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son and brother, Sean Patrick, who left this world unexpectedly on July 22, 2026, at the age of 42.
From the very beginning Sean brought joy, laughter, and unconditional love to everyone who knew him. Although he lived with an intellectual disability, it never defined who he was. His gentle heart, infectious smile, and pure spirit were his greatest gifts.
Sean graduated from John Marshall High School and Nellie Reddix Center and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures - playing with his straws, raising turkeys for 4H, spending time with family, bowling for Special Olympics, enjoying his favorite meal of Steak or volunteering. His excitement over the little things reminded us all to appreciate each day.
As a son, he was deeply loved and cherished. As a brother, he was a constant source of joy, teaching patience, compassion, and the true meaning of unconditional love. His legacy will live on in the memories he created and the love he freely gave.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Sean is now at peace, free from pain and embraced by God’s eternal love. We are grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with him.
He is proceeded in death by his Father James Howard Slavin and Grandparents, John and Alice Simon and Alfred and Frances Slavin. He is survived by his mother, Alice Marie Simon Slavin, his brother Paul Slavin (Cindy) and his sister Michelle Slavin Redd (Ronny), his nephews Paul David Slavin II, Ronald Redd III (Trey) and Barrett Redd and niece Ashley Slavin, along with extended family members, caregivers and friends who loved him dearly.
Sean Patrick will be forever loved, forever missed and forever in our hearts.
