

CMSgt Ronald Walter Coyle began his final PCS on 07 November 2020. His wife of 60 years, Glynda, awaits her final Port Call. He leaves behind three daughters: Carrie Browne of San Antonio; Jennifer Coyle and Larry Garcia of Von Ormy; and Cassandra (Candy) Vosburgh and her husband Matthew Vosburgh of Pipe Creek. He is also survived by his two granddaughters: Amanda Nordin and her husband Berek; Alexa Ramsey and her husband Garrett. Also surviving is his great granddaughter Bridget Ramsey. Ron was preceded in death by his father and mother, Robert Banks and Bernice Coyle: his brothers; Wally Coyle, Wilson Coyle and Robert Coyle and his sister Carleen Hart.
Chief Coyle enlisted in the United States Air Force (USAF) on 27 May 1959. During his long career he served two memorable tours as a First Sergeant, one in Basic Military Training (BMT) and the second in Officer’s Training School (OTS), Lackland AFB. Most of his career he served in the USAF Security Service with tours in Bremerhaven, Germany; Misawa, Japan; San Vito, Italy; National Security Agency (NSA), MD; Osan, Korea; and Kelly AFB, TX. Chief Coyle retired 01 September 1988.
A graveside service will be conducted in the Fort Sam National Cemetery on Monday, 30 November 2020 at 1500 in Shelter #1.
