Roland (Ron) E. Mantz passed away on July 18, 2017. He was born on January 25, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Alberto and Herlinda Montez. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dolly Mantz; sons Bruce Mantz, Brian Mantz (Patrick), daughter Leslie Bauer, and grand-daughter Rahne Jade Mantz. Also his brothers, Lionel Montez (Helen) and Andrew Montez (Mary), as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
He worked in the accounting department of SMT Freight Lines for most of his career and retired from there. His passions and hobbies were reading, collecting art and antiques, painting, and working on his landscaping. He had a devotion and love for God, prayer, and the word of God. He regularly read the Bible.
He was a great conversationalist and storyteller. He loved to tell people about his latest collectable, and the meaning and history behind the artwork and antiques he found. He was a kind, passionate person with a beautiful soul who will be greatly missed. We are blessed to have had him in our lives.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 29, 2017 at 11:00 am at
