

Richard Rhea Keidel of Helotes, Texas passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of Seventy-nine. He was born on October22, 1946 in Muskogee, Oklahoma where he grew up until 1961 at which time his family moved to Kerrville, Texas.
He graduated from Tivy High School in the class of 1965 in Kerrville, TX. He attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX., enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1967 was stationed in California and proudly served on the USS Bon Homme Richard aircraft carrier.
He owned and operated an auto repair business for many years in Kerrville, TX. After moving to San Antonio, TX. he attended the University of Texas at San Antonio graduating with a degree in accounting. He worked in that field in San Antonio. Rhea enjoyed playing golf, fishing with his friends and following all kinds of sports, especially his Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. Rhea loved his family, was a good friend to many and was happily active with his loving wife in the Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Helotes, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents Robert P. Keidel and Phyllis May Elwell Keidel of Kerrville, TX., by his brother, Robert Kurt Keidel of Kerrville, TX. and Step-son Anthony Infantino of Elmore, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, Daughters, CeCe and husband John Thompson of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Gretchen and husband Shane Jennings of Denton, TX., Comfort Keidel of Ardmore Oklahoma, step-son Joseph Infantino and wife Delia, of San Antonio, TX., nine grandchildren and three step-grandchildren. Sisters, Phyllis Ann Burkett of Fredericksburg, TX., and Connie and husband Sam Mayes of Georgetown, TX. Also, numerous nieces and nephews.
