Renae Irene Zeigler

Renae Irene Zeigler (Killgore) was born on December 05, 1952 to her late parents Valdia (Orr) and Ray Killgore. She was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Renae had five siblings; her brothers Keith Killgore, the late Andrew Killgore and the late Ruby Killgore, and her sisters Judy Watcher (Orr) and Joyce Bush (Killgore).

Renae married Wayne Zeigler on December 4, 1971, shortly after Wayne joined the USAF, and together they moved all over the world for twenty-six years. Together they share three daughters. Deanna Talley (Chris), Tammie Gomez and Valerie Martinez (Victor Tovar). Renae is also survived by nine grandchildren. Michael Thurman, Dylan Santos, Kayla Martinez (Quincey Williams), Lauren DePaul (Thurman) (Antonio), Camron Santos (Shianne Chavez), Anthony Martinez, Gabriel Martinez, Brooklyn Thurman and Lexie Thurman. Renae was fortunate enough to have seen her four great-grandchildren, Javon Williams, Avayah Williams, Payton DePaul and Azreil Santos. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Renae was known as “mom” to so many kids that resided on military bases all over the world, who were friends of her children. She was the neighborhood baker! There were always cookies in the cookie jar, for all to enjoy! While her husband was the active duty member, she was the foundation of their family. She kept everything in order, running accordingly and impeccably well organized. Renae loved when her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren would come to visit. Renae loved to go on cruises with her family and friends. Where she would play games, take in the shows and just relax. She enjoyed being with her sisters Judy and Joyce, two nieces Joanne Cook, Laura McGuire and longtime family-friend John Baer on her many ocean journeys. Renae passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Her wishes will be fulfilled by having a celebration of life followed by a crematory burial at Fort Sam Houston.
