Pil Ran lived abroad with her husband for many years, during those years she and her husband lived and worked in Saudi Arabia, China and South Korea. She established many International friendships and was fortunate to be able to visit world known places including Hong Kong, Egypt and Paris, France.
Among her interests was making beaded jewelry for friends and family. She was an ardent Mah Jong player, she taught this ancient Asian game to her husband and several American friends.
In 2003, while visiting a friend in San Antonio, she fell in love with the River Walk and decided with her husband to settle here. It turned out to be her most favorite place to live, after her beloved South Korea. She loved to spend time in South Korea visiting her daughter, sisters and mother every chance she could.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Jong Ho Lee and Gok Ji Kim. She is survived by her Husband William McBrayer, her son, Paul, who works for a Georgia Toyota Dealership and resides in Thomasville, GA. Her daughter, Amy, owns an English Academy in Mokpo, South Korea and lives there with her 2 sons Min Seo Hwang and Min Woo Hwang. Pil Ran also has 3 sisters who reside in South Korea; Young Hie Lee, Young Ae Lee and Young Bun Lee. She has 6 stepchildren that loved her dearly; Alisa McBrayer, Mike McBrayer, Christianne Gentile, Cassandra McBrayer, Cher McBrayer and Mandi Nehring, who all live in Georgia or Florida.
Pil Ran was also a devoted San Antonio Spurs Fan, attended Silver Sneakers Senior activities and exercised often at Gold’s Gym. She will be sorely
missed by her family and all of those who knew her and loved her.
