Phyllis Ann Blevins was born to Benjamin Harrison Blevins and Georgia (Hill) Blevins on May 16, 1937 in Big Stone Gap, VA. She met Ferdinand L Jose II on Easter Sunday 1956 and married soon after on June 29, 1956. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved the outdoors, gardening, drinking coffee, fishing, road trips and more fishing.
Her greatest pleasure though was her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She never missed a single birthday or anniversary and her favorite holiday was Christmas. Up until her diagnosis she loved to take her grandson, Ben, to the mall, garage sales and play Words with Friends with him on the computer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Ronald, Jerry & Bennie and sister Anita. She is survived by her husband,“Jose”; her four children, Debra (Guy), Fred (Darla), Cindy (Will) and Mikel (Tonya); siblings, Marylynn, Dot, Jimmie, Steve, Michael & Johnny; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren with another on the way.
Special thanks to Dr. Kim Heller, Jefferson Family Practice Associates and Staff; Vitas Inpatient Hospice Staff & her longtime friend and hairdresser, Anna. She will be tremendously missed by all.
Arrangements under the direction of NEPTUNE SOCIETY - San Antonio, San Antonio, TX.
