Olaf Ronald Gullickson

September 3, 1936 – August 18, 2017

Bud passed away in his sleep due to complications of Parkinsons Disease. He was a loving husband and father.

He was preceded in death by 3 of his children, Ronald Dean Gullickson, Rick James Gullickson and Lori Ann (Gullickson) Forstad.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Vicki (Harding) Gullickson, Denise (Gullickson) Taylor of Austin, TX, Bryan Lee Gullickson of Austin, MN and three grandchildren – Amanda Giles of Austin, MN, Jason Forstad of Minneapolis, MN, and Ryan Taylor of Austin, TX. He is also survived by his cats, George and Gracie.

Bud was born at home in Moscow township, MN, to Olaf & Ruth (Rierson) Gullickson. He graduated from Austin High School in 1954. He attended college at Mankato State College and the University of Minnesota. He was a veteran of the Air Force and lived many years in Minnesota, California, Arkansas and Texas. He was a cook/chef for much of his life. He loved traveling, cooking, computers and gaming. He also loved his family and his pets.

His family sends their gratitude to the staff of Oak Park Nursing and Rehabilitation as well as Audie Murphy VA Medical Center for all of the wonderful care he received over the years with them.
