Nick was born on December 25, 1983 in San Mateo, California where where he lived until moving to San Antonio at the age of 10. He returned to California at 16, and then left to attend MMI (Marine Mechanics Institute) in Orlando, where he graduated in 2010. Once graduated, he spent his young adulthood between California and Texas.
He is survived by his Mother, Victoria Bamond; Father, Joseph Russo (Deb); Brother, Robert Russo; Niece, Penelope Cancel-Russo; Uncles, Joseph (Chip) Bamond (Loly) and John Bamond; Aunts, Roxanne Bamond (David Roederer), Jeannie Kephart and Janice Pole (Chris), as well as numerous cousins.
Nick enjoyed traveling, all genres of music, snowboarding, astronomy, philosophy and being out in nature, especially the woods or mountains. He was a caring, compassionate man and shared a special bond with his niece, Penelope, tickling and wrestling with her, lifting her on his shoulders, and having her stand on his head and teaching her how to feed the squirrels from her hands. He will be greatly missed.
