Mike was born in Denver, Colorado on August 17, 1941, to William and Cecil Gahan. When he was six months old, he moved with his family to Los Angeles where he attended school and started his career in computer systems.
Mike spent most of his working career with USAA where he retired after 20 years. After retiring he spent 21 years as a Chaplain Volunteer in the juvenile detention centers.
Mike greatest joy was spending time with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids.
Mike loved sharing his faith and singing God's praises everywhere he went with everyone he met.
Survived by his wife, Xan Gahan, daughter, Maureen Johnson and husband Bret, son, Boyd Gahan and wife, Tuyet, son, Sean Gahan and wife, Colleen, daughter, Lucrecia Gray and husband, Jonathan, son, Wesley Taylor; brother, Johnny and thirteen grandchildren, 5 great- grandchildren.

The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers a donation be made to First Baptist Church of San Antonio Community Missions.
