Mary Nell Morales-Maher

MaryNell was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Born of Frank Morales and Florencia Canavacholo-Morales on March 2, 1926.

Mary was full of life wearing a constant smile and ability to make anyone in a room laugh. Mary's biggest joy was being around her children and grandchildren. When she was able, Mary would cook a feast and always insist you eat, then sit back and wait for the "praise". Mary loved to dance and would do so at any given time to whatever music was playing, and she could certainly move like a pro. MaryNell's passion for life transcended into those around her, especially her children. Mary was always moving in one way or another. Never one to waste away a day by just sitting. She created many crafts through sewing or embroidery, creating blankets, doilies and dolls. She would exercise, take walks and visit with anyone who passed by. Mary was always a loyal and faithful servant of the Catholic faith and shared this loyalty and faith with anyone around her.

Mary is survived by her three children, Stephen Jeffrey Maher, Yvonne Diane Maher-Perez and Kathleen Marie Maher-Hagen. MaryNell was blessed with 8 grandchildren. Bryan James Maher who is in heaven with Mary, 7 surviving grandchildren, Harmony Shari Balentine, Chuck Collier Maynard II, Cody Don Maynard, Sean Patrick Maher, Stephen Jeffrey Maher Jr., Michael Cole Hagen and Connor Allen Hagen. Mary is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, Taitum Yvonne Wilson, Talon Bryan James Balentine, Trey Jack Balentine, Gabrielle Maher, Mason Keny Hagen, and Gavin Gray Hagen who was born within the same hour our sweet Mother passed on to be with our Heavenly Father. How blessed is he to have met her in her transition to heaven. She will be missed by so many who loved her and shared the blessing of her long life on this earth. We are blessed to know that she is now dancing in heaven with many family members and friends.

Mary will be cremated with a Catholic memorial to be held at St. Helena's Catholic Church at 14714 Edgemont St, San Antonio, TX on Friday, May 26 at 11AM. MaryNell's Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 27 starting at 3PM at the home of Kathleen and Kenny Hagen at 13610 Coleridge, San Antonio, TX. 78217.
