Margot Helga Welty

Margot is predeceased by her mother and stepfather, Emilie and Werner Draudt, her sister, Inge Renfroe, her brother, Herman “Bubbi” Bauer, her former husbands, Stuart Welty and David Leinart, and her son-in-law Charles Cooper

Margot is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kim Welty-Schneider and son-in-law Paul Schneider, her daughter Suzanne Leinart-Cooper, and her son Chris Leinart and his wife Lori Leinart. She will be missed by her grandchildren, Chase Leinart, Casey (Leinart) Thies, Robert ”Rocky” Cooper, Wolfgang and Alexandra Welty, as well as her nephews Tim and Tony Renfroe.

Margot was born in Niederstaufenbach, Germany on April 10, 1935 and became a US Citizen in 1963. While in Germany, she worked for the Army Branch of Civil Service and later in life, became a retail manager for various stores in San Antonio, Texas.

Margot enjoyed flower gardening, classical music, and reading, usually mystery and espionage novels. She was an avid fan of TV detective shows such as Criminal Minds and Father Brown, as well as many of the British comedy shows that aired on PBS.
