Marco was born on January 13, 1948 in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, to Lydia Saldana Siller and Guillermo Hinojosa Siller. He immigrated to San Antonio at the age of 9. He graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1967. A proud American, he answered the call to serve his country honorably in the United States Army in the Vietnam War.
Embracing every challenge, he led by example, and showed that even the most far-fetched dreams can be achieved through hard work and patience. After years of attending school at night while working full time and raising his family, he graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences. He was employed at VLSI Technology, Inc., Vutex, Inc., and Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc.
Marco is a beloved son, brother, husband, father, father-in-law, and grandfather. From childhood, he selflessly worked to make the world a better place for those around him. He married Beatriz Fernandez in 1974, and together, they raised three daughters. He often noted that his proudest achievement in life was his family. He was instrumental in teaching his daughters to follow their own dreams, and raised them to serve the world as a surgeon and two teachers.
He loved nothing more than experiencing life and new adventures with his family, which grew to include three sons-in-law and five grandchildren, whom he adored. His positive outlook on life, integrity, warmth, generosity, hard work ethic, dad jokes, and devotion to the Dallas Cowboys were second-to-none, and will be lovingly remembered.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Beatriz Fernandez Siller; daughters Suzel Siller Hall (Blake), Gina Ann Laughlin (former spouse Doug), and Iris Siller Holmes (Jeffrey); grandchildren Jake Ashton Laughlin, Lauren Elizabeth Laughlin, Ella Catherine Hall, Mark Andrew Hall, and Julia Beatrice Hall; and siblings Martha Perez, Willie Siller, and Maria Alma Siller.
He is preceded in death by his father, Guillermo, mother, Lydia, and brother, Amador Siller.
His life is a gift—cherished by all who had the privilege of walking alongside him.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5919 Ingram Road, San Antonio, Texas. A celebration of life memorial will follow at Texas Star Inn, 7621 Bandera Road, San Antonio, Texas.
Called home to the Lord, may he now share the joy of eternal life.
