Lola V Fragoso

Born on February 1, 1944 in Willow City, TX, she was the child of Teofilo G. Balero and Tomasa M. Balero. She graduated from Edgewood High School in San Antonio, TX in 1963 where she met her husband in typewriting class. She went on to work for Joske’s, Reed Candle Company, and Data Point before starting a career with the Internal Revenue Service, where she served 20 years of service and retired in 2006.

On June 22, 1968, Lola married Antonio R. Fragoso, Jr. They shared nearly 58 years of marriage and had two daughters.

Lola lived a life grounded in faith, love, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her deep faith in God was the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and shaping the way she cared for others.

After retirement, she stayed active by crocheting, travelling, watching her favorite movies and novelas, and spending time with family.

Lola is survived by her husband, Antonio R. Fragoso, Jr. of San Antonio, TX; daughters: Leticia Valero Fragoso of San Antonio, TX, Lisa Ann Wright & husband Gabriel of Pipe Creek, TX; & four sisters: Irene Herrera of Fredericksburg, TX, Tomasa Balero and Anita Sosa of San Antonio, TX and Nancy Avera of State Line, MS. She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

Visitation will be held at Fredericksburg Funeral Home, 2278 S US Hwy 87, Fredericksburg, TX 78624, US, on June 12, 2026, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.
