Born on February 11, 1946, in Velasco, Texas, Ray grew up in the Texas Hill Country, primarily Kerrville, where he often shared memories of his happy childhood. After graduating from Tivy High School, Ray served his country with honor in the U.S. Navy, afterward graduating from the University of Houston. In every role he played—from military service to business to family life—Ray lived with deep integrity and a strong sense of accountability.
His quiet presence and thoughtful humor left a lasting impression on everyone lucky enough to know him.
