Leland "Lee" Medford Larson

Lee was born in Palo Alto, California on September 13, 1949 and spent his childhood in Santa Rosa, California. He is survived by his wife Deborah, his daughters Jennifer Parker of Cibolo Texas, and Kristel LeBlanc of Waddell Arizona, his sister Lyn Tsang of Carpinteria California, brother Arnold Larson of Santa Rosa California, granddaughter Janelle Hill, grandsons Nathan LeBlanc, and Jaedon LeBlanc. Lee is predeceased by his father Merlin Larson, and his mother Lillian Medford Larson.

Lee graduated from Santa Rosa High in 1967 and joined the Air Force in 1968. He remained in the Air Force for thirty years having served at bases all over the world. He retired in 1998 in the grade of Chief Master Sergeant. Among his many military awards and decorations, he was awarded four Meritorious Service Medals, two Air Force Commendation Medals, and the Air Force Achievement Medal.

While in the Air Force, he attended classes nights and weekends, and attained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Albuquerque, and a Master's of Science in Administration from the Central Michigan University. Following his time in the Air Force, he worked for the Federal Civil Service at Randolph Air Force Base the information technology field. Lee and his loving wife Debbie, also from Santa Rosa, traveled the world for over twenty-five years scuba diving and sightseeing.

Debbie was the light of his life. Together they traveled nearly every corner of the world sightseeing and scuba diving. Lee is a certified scuba diving instructor and his most rewarding experiences in this regard have been training Wounded Warrior amputees to dive through the Center for the Intrepid at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.

Lee was well known for his non-stop sense of humor and will be sorely missed by friends and family.

A Memorial Interment Service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd. San Antonio, TX 78209, on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 2:45pm, where military honors will be rendered.
