LaRue Strickland Wall

Mrs. Wall is survived by her loving husband Carl Wall Jr.; daughters Carla Cortez (Toma), Cara Peterson (Charlie); grandchildren Eric Shields (Therese), David Rodriguez, Victoria Peterson, Catherine Peterson; great grand children Micah and Avah; and one brother James Strickland (Katie).

LaRue went to high school in Shamrock, TX where she met her husband of 62 years. When she married she became an Air Force wife. Entertaining became a big part of her life, as well as playing tennis and later learning golf. She was a devoted grandmother and hosted many Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, as she was a very good cook. In later years she became a member of Oak Hills Church where she found her calling in the Host Ministry.

Thanks to the caring folks at New Hope Assisted Living in Boerne, TX for making her last years comfortable.

A private interment will take place at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
