KENNETH DALE PAIR Kenneth Dale Pair, 79, passed away on June 4, 2016 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on April 18, 1937 in Stephenville, Texas to William Doyle and Opal Jo Pair. Ken grew up in Stephenville, Texas. He graduated from Stephenville High School in 1955. After high school he attended Tarleton State College on a football scholarship for 2 years and then completed his Master’s Degree at Stephen F. Austin University in Nacogdoches, Texas. He worked in the coaching profession from 1959 to 1980 throughout the State of Texas at high school and junior college levels. In fall of 1980 – he began working as a vocational teacher while obtaining his counseling certification. He retired in 1998 as a drug counselor for Northside Independent School District in San Antonio, TX. Ken married Beverly in 1956 in Stephenville, Texas. They were happily married for 59 years. Ken was a member of Teacher Retirement of Texas Association, NRA, Woodlawn Racing Pigeon Club, Texas Center of Racing Pigeon Clubs, American Racing Pigeon Union, Crossroads Baptist Church, Tarleton University Alumni and Stephen F. Austin Alumni Association. Ken’s passion was fishing and racing pigeons. Ken is survived by his spouse Beverly of San Antonio, Texas; his son Keith Pair and wife, Becky of Wylie, Texas, son Kirby Pair and wife, Mary of Stephenville, Texas and daughter Karla Pair Moeller of San Antonio, Texas; his brother Douglas Pair of Dallas, Texas; his grandchildren Ashlyn Pair, Zachary Pair, Katheryne Pressley and husband, Justin, Jessica Pair, Blake Pair and wife, Becky, Jay Healer and wife, Catherine, Cole Healer, Kelci Healer; his great-grandchildren Kalah Pressley, Ty Pressley, Hudsyn Pressley, Kendall Cobb and Madison Gobar. Ken was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church, 8300 Tezel, San Antonio, Texas at 2:00 p.m. June 10, 2916. The family will be greeting friends and relatives immediately following the memorial service. A memorial service will be held at Stephenville, Texas at a date to be determined.
