Julian Ross DeHaven of North Richland Hills, TX passed away on June 12, 2025 at the age of 28 while living in San Antonio, TX. He was born on July 18, 1996 in Santa Rosa, CA and moved to Texas in 2001. His family then moved to North Richland Hills, TX in 2005 at the age of 9.
He graduated from Richland High School in 2014. He then went on to earn his Associates Degree from Tarrant County College. Although he was very bright, he chose not to go on and earn a bachelor’s degree.
He loved to drive and decided to become a truck driver. He crossed our country from coast to coast as well as to our borders north and south. He truly loved being on the road and seeing so many different places and landscapes. He often sent home pictures of the most amazing scenery. He told us he thought Maryland was the most beautiful state he visited.
He is survived by his family, George L. DeHaven, III, Melissa P. DeHaven, his parents and his sister Anna L. DeHaven.
He loved to sing along with a myriad of artists, and did so quite well. He was a member of the elite North Texas Children’s Chorale while in grade school. Its members were made up of grade school students from across the Birdville Independent School.
He played a number of sports over his short lifetime from baseball to wrestling. His dad was his baseball coach from the time he was old enough to play through to high school; his mom was the score keeper. As an adult, he enjoyed going to professional games with his family. He would watch the action very intently.
His sister will always remember fun moments with her brother; it is bittersweet to remember. He is with his Lord and Savior now. His family will honor him and know he is at peace. They will always love him and miss him very much.
His family has chosen to cremate his remains rather than hold any services and will keep them at home.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in his honor to your local food bank or homeless shelter.
