Joseph Cruz Espinoza

Joseph Cruz Espinoza, age 56, was born on August 15, 1965, in San Diego, California, and passed away on June 11, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. He graduated from Oceanside High School “go Pirates!” and served in the U.S. Navy from 1987 through 1998. Joseph started his military service as a Navy Corpsman and later an Optician. His military experience greatly assisted him with his career in the optical field. While serving his country, Joseph earned a Third Good Conduct Award, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd award) and Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Joseph, a beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, was preceded in death by his natural father, Jose Martinez Espinoza and loving grandparents, Concepción and Gilbert Perez. He is survived by his mom, Estella Ann Berkley (Joe), sisters: Kathleen Ingle-Wolodzsko (Paul), Maria Elena Campa and Connie Ann Yoder (George).

Joseph will be interred at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on July 7, 2022. He will be greatly missed until we meet again.
