John Raymond Zielinski, 62, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2026. He was born on April
26, 1964.
John was a deeply kind soul who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Though he lived with
a disability, he never let it limit his capacity to care for others. Instead, he used his own experiences
to guide and advocate for those around him, showing people how to find and access the resources
they needed. His generous spirit extended to everyone, and he was known for always showing
warmth and compassion to the people he met on the streets.
Outside of his advocacy, John loved the outdoors and found great peace and joy fishing with his
friends. He deeply valued the connections he made throughout his life, including the special bond he
shared with his dear friend, Jessica Weber.
John was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Helen Barnes, and his brother, Theodore
Zielinski.
His memory will live on vibrantly through his family. He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Zielinski,
and his loving sisters: Frances Mattia, Theresa Zielinski Paisley, Donna Zielinski, Penny
Steczak, and Linda Coffman. He also leaves behind his many nieces and nephews who loved him
dearly, along with the many friends and community members whose lives he touched.
