Joella was born March 13, 1974, in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Savino and Bernadette “Darlene” (Martinez) Romero. She was a 1992 graduate of William J. Palmer High School, and she attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she majored in English and Spanish.
She was the owner of A Bright Cleaning Company and congruently worked as a scheduler for Colorado Springs Dermatology prior to relocating to San Antonio in June of 2023. She loved her jobs and adored her coworkers.
Joella was a member of Victory Outreach Church/Victory Worship where she assisted with hospitality, children’s ministry, outreach programs, administration and anything else she could be of assistance to.
She loved to watch the Denver Broncos, spend time with her family and friends, travel, craft, share her kindness and unconditional love to all, especially her pets.
She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Arturo and Alicia Romero, material grandparents, Ernest and Bernice Martinez.
She is survived by her parents; her brother Joseph “Joe” (Shawntel) Romero; nieces Amber “Amb” and Alexandra “Allie” Romero. Her sister Janet “Jay” Romero; godchildren Gabriela “Silly” Hernandez and Christopher “Veets” Romero; nephew, Dan “Danta” Laskarzewski; Grandmother, Maria Romero; Spiritual parents, Pastor Al and Sister Debbie Loma and spiritual goddaughter, Caristala Loma; numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of life will take place in Colorado Springs, Colorado at a later date.
Joella will be forever remembered and loved.
