Jesse Katharine Highum

Our beloved Jesse died at the Spring Equinox, following a long struggle with alcoholism. The hardships of a dread disease could never tarnish her shining spirit, her loving, compassionate soul. Who can tell the whole wonder of a life … the blessing and the beauty she was!

Jesse had an adventurous life. She knew the depths and heights of true love. She knew dark sorrows and brilliant joys, challenges and marvelous accomplishments. Through it all, there was her easy, charming laugh and sly, dry sense of humor that will stay with us always.

She leaves behind her mom and dad, Brad and Nance Highum; her loving sister and brother-in-law, Carly and Justin Camp; her gramma Marlene Highum Raadt; a large, lovely extended family, and some great friends … deeply saddened by her passing, but ever grateful for the way her life blessed our own.

If you wish to honor Jesse’s memory, hug someone close and tell them you love them. Plant something. Paint something. And be kind to cats and the little creatures of the world, as she was.
