

Jeffrey was born on February 9, 1979 in Blytheville, Arkansas . After graduating from Blytheville High School in 1997, He decided to join the United States Army and was stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. Jeffrey would go on to serve from 1997 to 2008 as a decorated soldier and complete wartime services in Bosnia, Egypt and Iraq, twice.
In 1998, He met Julie and they went on to have two beautiful children, Jazlyn M. Benson and Joshua T. Benson.
Jeffrey was a force of nature determined to provide for his children and give them the life he felt they deserved. To Jeffrey, his family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he never failed to mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Jazlyn and Joshua and always did his best to support them. Anyone who knew Jeffrey knew that he was the most loving father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend anyone could ask for.
Jeffrey was predeceased in death by his mother, Doris White ; sister, Lourisa Jefferson; Grandmother, Rose Benson; Uncle, Jacquin Benson Sr.; and Aunt, Robbie Soward.
He is survived by his children, daughter, Jazlyn Benson; son, Joshua Benson, of San Antonio, Texas ; sister, Marcia Thomas of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family requests that all flowers are sent to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Funeral and military honors services will be held on June 27, 2022 at 10:45 a.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #5.
