He was born in Houston, Texas on November 27, 1945.
Jim graduated from North Shore Senior High School in Houston and later attended University of Houston at night while working full time, earning his associate degree in Communications.
He worked in the oil industry for Shell Oil Company in Houston and later for Chevron in Concord, California. In 1999 Jim and his wife Jan retired and moved to the Boerne area. He loved living in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Laura Jan Rodesney Jennings; one sister, Peggy Browning of Highlands, Texas; sister-in-law, Kim Crespo (Antonio) of Channelview, Texas; brother-in-law, Mike Rodesney (Judy) of Rye, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Also mourning his loss are the many friends Jim made throughout his life.
Jim will be missed, loved and remembered always for his compassion for others, his determination, his wonderful sense of humor and his positive outlook on life.
At his request no formal service will be held.
