Jacqueline R. Jennings passed away February 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Maudine Springs on March 20, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas. Jackie was a San Antonio native and attended Edgewood Independent School District of San Antonio, Texas. She also grew up going to St. Paul Baptist Church of San Antonio, Texas. Jackie loved to sing. She was also a member of her churches choir for many years. Singing and dancing was Jackie’s thing everyone knew that.
Jackie is preceded in death by her husband Larry Jennings, her mother Maudine Springs, sister Evelvyn Cunningham, Brenda Cunningham, Donnie Cunningham, (present) Sharon Robinson, Shirley Cunningham and Allen Cunningham all of San Antonio, Texas.
Survived by her children, Mia Shawn Renae - Jeremy, Cameron, Devin, Ryen of Houston, Texas. James Sidney - James Jr., Anton, Chenelle, Reyin, Dairel and Amethyst of Texas, Colorado, and North Carolina. Johndrae “Satin” - Cortney and Jaren. Great grandchildren - Jaylani, Draydyn and Jayonna of San Antonio, Texas.
Jackie also had plenty of nieces, nephews and a ton of friends that loved her as well. My mother was a great mother to all of us. I would not have asked for no one else to have been apart of my life for all these years.
Jackie was married to my father (Larry) for 53 years. She was his Bonnie and he was her Clyde, now they are together again. This was her conversation for the last almost three years since my father has been gone. Her closure has come. May our dear sweet mother rest in peace.
I would like to give a special thanks to the hospice team from Ariel Hospice- Michelle. They took great care of my mother, (Taco Tuesday Michelle, thank you!). Also a thanks to Cathy Lowe and Sandra Ledesma with helping and assisting with my mother.
Jackie (mother), you will truly be missed. This is not a goodbye, I (we) will see you again my dear mother. Love you always and forever.
Mom
You were the person that showed me what a motherly love is. We all loved you, we will miss your motherly love that you provided to us. Your beautiful smile and warmth transcended over to your grandchildren as well.
Not saying goodbye just hold a place for me when it is my time to join you. Love you dearly your daughter Mia Shawn, grandsons Jeremy, Cameron, Devin and granddaughter Ryen.
Ms Loretta
When I think of a real lady I start and stop with you. Such a pleasant person to have known. Always when I think of you I send a little prayer.
When I am gone, don't cry for me.
Please smile each time you think of me.
I'm not beneath the ground you see.
Each breeze that blows is part of me.
I'm watching everything you do.
I am still sharing life with you.
No need to look both far and near;
Just listen close, I am right here.
I'm here to listen every day
To all the things you want to say.
I've seen you cry so many tears;
Be glad we had so many years.
Please take the love you gave to me
And give to others just like me
So though I am gone, don't cry for me.
But smile each time you think of me.
