Irene G. Molleda

Irene was born on July 14, 1950, in San Antonio, where her father lovingly raised her alongside her four sisters. She built a successful career as a loan officer and later fulfilled her dream of owning her consulting firm. But what made Irene truly special was her heart—she gave countless hours to setting up nonprofit organizations and sponsoring young students, always believing in the power of giving back and helping others find their way.

She is now reunited with her mother, Rita Gonzalez Guzme; her father, Ignacio Guzme; and her sisters, Olga Hernandez, Enedelia Dennis, and Estella Singer, who all preceded her in passing.

She leaves behind her daughter, Jennifer Ann Molleda; her son, Kevin Alexander Molleda; her grandson, Ethan Alexander Molleda; and her dear sister, Evangelina Gonzales; 16 nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry her love and memory forward.

Our family would like to thank the excellent teams at Methodist Hospital and the Texas Organ Sharing Alliance for the kindness and compassion they showed Irene in her final days.

At Irene’s request, there will be no public funeral services. Instead, a private family gathering will be held at El Carmen Cemetery on May 23, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.
