Gail was the most compassionate, kind, caring and loving person that anyone could meet. She was an athlete, marathon and ultra-marathon competitor who ran the San Antonio, Chicago, Las Vegas and Boston to name a few. She was a state police officer before joining the 82nd Airborne Army unit, I met her upon changing duty station to Fort Wainwright, Alaska where I fell completely in love and was lucky enough to have won her heart as well. We were joined in love on October 4th, 1984.
After moving to San Antonio, Texas she attended nursing school at the University of Texas , won the Mary Margaret Moran scholarship and was also Sigma Theta Tau. After working in a variety of specialty fields she found her calling as a hospice nurse. She also was a member of the San Antonio clown alley, practiced magic and ventriloquism also juggling and used those talents for laughter therapy with hospice patients and families.
She was a beekeeper, a horse woman, a nature and animal advocate, a voice for the voiceless and a faithful Christian. She is survived by her wife, Brenda, her mom Jean and brothers and sisters, blood and chosen. It has been my privilege to love and be loved by her.
Hold a place for me beloved I'll meet you as soon as I can.
