It is with great sadness that my father, Dempsey Ballard passed away on February 2nd 2025 at the age of 101. He died peacefully, and he will be forever missed. My father was a true hero in every sense of the word. He served in WW11 and was a POW, then went on to be a leader in the Air Force affiliated with the B-52 planes. Dempsey was a fighter pilot in the Vietnam War. After retiring from 27 years of Air Force life, Dempsey went on to be a successful businessman. Dempsey’s passion was playing golf. He was definitely a true hero to the bitter end. In memory of my loving father, Gail Ballard.
