

Martial Arts Grandmaster Danny Ray Passmore, born July 13, 1955, went home to his mansion Jesus prepared for him on June 16, 2026, during his 4th bout with cancer. He served as a U.S. Marine Corps infantry machine gunner after special assignment as a NATO escort. His duties included bodyguard for foreign dignitaries and high-ranking military leaders, missile sentry and other duties as assigned. He was also awarded ‘Top Scout’ for the State of Texas as a scout leading Sgt in the Texas National Guard. In civilian life, he began martial arts training in January of 1973. He opened Passmore’s Self-Defense school near Waco. He founded several non-profits including the Texas Martial Arts Hall of Fame (TMAHOF), ‘Who’s Who in Martial Arts’, the Nice Ninja program for at risk, disadvantaged youth and the Black Belt Certifying Authority (Central TX TKD Council). He held high ranking degrees in several styles of martial arts. Mr. Passmore also authored 3 books, the last being Martial Hearts, Vol 2 for the healthy development and protection of young people. All proceeds from book sales will now be donated to Pre-Born. After retiring due to military injuries, he traveled extensively on his Harley-Davidson through the United States and the Caribbean Islands. He was most remembered for his interview with Borat on HBO, an inclusive into the world Martial Arts Hall of Fame as one of the last true martial arts pioneers for his work with the deaf community. He overcame a drinking problem through AA and has been sober since Jan 13, 1985. His life then became dedicated to being a positive role model and service to Jesus Christ. He lived in Kyle, TX at the time of his passing. He regretted his immaturity and selfishness during his younger years but was grateful for God’s forgiveness and grace in later life. His last request is forgiveness from those he may have harmed and offers forgiveness to those who tried to harm him. He asks for his ashes to be spread into the Gulf of America.
Danny was preceded in death by his parents. Waco homebuilder, J.R. Passmore and wife Rita Passmore.
