Connie was born on October 3, 1946, in New Ulm, Minnesota, to Constantine "Gus" and Marian Ubl Argodale. She dedicated much of her working life to caring for others as a registered nurse, a profession in which she took great pride. When failing eyesight made it impossible for her to continue nursing, Connie made the most of her early retirement by creating beautiful quilts for which she spent many hours selecting fabrics, designing patterns, and creating pieces that showcased her dedication to the craft. Her determination and perseverance to continue doing what she loved even as her eyesight continued to decline inspired others and will remain treasured reminders of the love she so generously shared with family and friends.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert James Argodale.
She is survived by her siblings, Mary Isaac of Summerville, SC, Martha (Vic) Ortiz of Castroville, Kristine (Dan) Smith of Macon, GA, Therese McMahan of Carrollton, TX, Joseph Argodale of Ponca City, OK, Ann Argodale, of Memphis, TN, and Rita (Tommy) Lanham of Katy, TX, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Connie leaves behind not only beautiful quilts, but also a legacy of love, creativity, perseverance, and friendship. Her hands may no longer be here to create, but the beauty she made—and the lives she touched—will continue to be treasured.
