

César Antonio Silva Cadilla “ Papucho “,77, returned to his heavenly home on Easter Sunday April 9,2023 after battling Parkinson’s with Lewis Body Dementia. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
César was born to the late César Silva Colón and Rosa Laura Cadilla in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on December 20, 1945. He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in Mayaguez with a degree in civil engineering. He worked for several private companies in Puerto Rico moving to San Antonio in 1981 accepting a position with the Air Force.
César was a kind and thoughtful soul who will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. He was an adoring, loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Uncle who cherished his family. He had many accomplishments in his life, but his favorite was being a father and grandfather. He loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children. He taught them through example to be honest with strong moral principles and integrity.
César is survived by his wife of 54 years, Alicia Mercedes Suria; his daughter Alicia de Barros Conti(Amaury); son Cesar Antonio Silva Suria( Tricia); grandsons Adrien and Austen; sisters Laura Etze(Sam)and Olga Johnson( late Jim);nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
A Celebration of César’s life will be held at Shrine of Padre Pio of Pietrelcina ( 3843 Bulverde Parkway, San Antonio, Tx 78259) on May 20,2023 with visitation at 10:00 am followed by Mass.
