Artrecia Kimmel, aged 80, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Born on October 8, 1945, Artrecia lived a life defined by dedication to her country, deep love for her family and an unforgettable sense of humor.
Artrecia proudly served her nation as a civil servant, retiring after 25 years of dedicated work. Throughout her career, she brought her talents and strong work ethic to both Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, and Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
Beyond her professional achievements, Artrecia's true mastery was the joy she brought to others. She loved to make people laugh and possessed a unique charm-simply by asking, she could get people to completely let go, dance, or randomly sing just for her. Her radiant smile and exceptionally kind heart were her defining traits, and they are what those who knew her will remember most.
She is survived by her sister, Louise Ryland; her two daughters, Rebecca Bussey and Malissa Dunn; her 9 grandchildren; and her 7 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her legacy of laughter forward.
Per Artrecia's explicit wishes, there will be no formal funeral services. Instead, she asked that you remember her and smile, knowing that it was truly her absolute pleasure to be a part of your life, and hoping that she brought joy to you in some way.
