(Rob, Robbie, DoodleBug, Roberto, Poo Bear, Robert The Bobert, and his favorite was Robert Robert Watson.)
Our Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Friend, Bowler Extraordinaire, a.k.a. The Werewolf, passed away unexpectedly the night of August 16th, 2023 at the age of 28. Robert was born October 6th, 1994 in Murray, Utah. He was special from the start being born with an extra chromosome. He grew up in Midvale, UT always surrounded by his family and friends. His two best friends and dogs were Lucky and Maggie. He loved those dogs until they passed over the rainbow bridge. Robert must be ecstatic to be with them again. Lucky always protected him when he would take off on one of his runs. Even from the police when they would try to bring him home. He graduated from Jordan Valley High School in 2016.
Robert moved to Manti, UT in 2016 where he had the best social life. Everyone in Manti and Sanpete County knew and loved Robert unconditionally. He attended Sanpete Community Training Center for the last 7 years. He loved picnics in the park. He loved swimming with all of his friends. Most of all he loved bowling at Sno-Cap Lanes in Ephraim. He was very competitive at their yearly competitions. Robert loved spending time with his family, especially our mother who took the best care of him for 28 years. He loved calling all of his siblings in the mornings before attending his day program. He would beg us to come to Manti and proceed to list everyone in the family that he wanted you to bring along. Robert was full of life and always happy. He gave the best hugs and insisted you hug his mother who he absolutely adored. He loved going to Disneyland. One of his favorite things to do was sing Disney songs, Celine Dion, ABBA and many other songs on full blast in the car. He had amazing taste in music. It was not ok to have conversations while he was listening to a song or it got restarted until it was fully appreciated. He was the glue to our family. There will always be a hole forever in our hearts that can never be filled. We love you Robert! We’ll miss your beautiful heart, your sweet smile, your contagious giggle and yes, even your repetitiveness and stubbornness. We hope you found the lion Robert Robert Watson our Poo Bear.
Robert was the son of Shirlyn Tuttle Watson and David Gary Watson. He is survived by his parents, his siblings Melanie (Cory) Koerner, Laurie (Patrick) Doyle, Brian (Trisha) Watson, Jeremy (Aubrie) Watson, Emily (Corey) Lee, Heather (Jake) Frehner, Amber (Sean) Challis, Marinda (Walter) Herrera, Bradley (Kiaya) Watson, his only baby sister Ariana Alice Watson and numerous other siblings, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, cousins, all of his friends at the Sanpete Training Center, as well as his cats Mittens and Lily. As well as so many others that he loved and adored.

A second celebration of his life will take place at Manti City Park, 200 North 300 West, for his friends and family in Sanpete County that are not able to make it to Salt Lake. That will take place on September 16th, 2023 from 1 pm to 5 pm with a light lunch.
