It is with profound sadness that the family of Richard Price announce his passing. He died peacefully surrounded by his family on September 17, 2019 at the young age of 66. Rick was born on August 29, 1953 in San Diego, CA to Richard and Dorothy Price. Rick attended Canyon Country High School where he played football. Rick was a disabled US Navy Veteran and served in Vietnam. While in the Navy, Rick became a high voltage electrician. He worked in the construction industry then worked for the federal government in Port Hueneme, CA, where he retired in 2009. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and Eagles.
Rick was a family man through and through. He married the love of his life, Debi in October of 1990. They had fun, no matter what they did. They travel to new locations, went to conferences, car shows and just to see family. Rick embodied the best in all of us. He was a kind and gentle man with a big heart who touched many lives. He was dedicated, loyal, hardworking, and genuine, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife, Debi, son Christopher (Gina), daughters Christina and Diana and 5 beautiful grandchildren he loved with all his heart; his sister, Julie Brown (Steve), along with many nieces, nephews and close wonderful good friends who he loved dearly.
Rick will be much more than missed; he will never be forgotten. Rick was, in a word, happiness. That's because he didn't just live life, he lived life fully, he lived it with more passion than us all, he lived it with more conviction than can be described. Rick was so much too so many people. He loved with all his heart and was well-loved. He was the best of us.
A Celebration of Life will be held later. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Moose Charities to honor Ricks love for Mooseheart and Moosehaven.
We are comforted by his love & memory, knowing he awaits us! Cheers to long life, well lived! Godspeed!
