November 23, 1930 – June 3, 2019
Raymond Carl Reynolds of Bountiful, Utah died peacefully on Monday June 3rd surrounded by his wife, Karen and his children after a two-year battle with cancer at the age of 88. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Roy Reynolds and Pauline Dussault Reynolds Morin, a sister(Laura) and four brothers(George, Paul, Ted, and Bob). He is survived by his wife, Karen Reynolds, Dorothy Wescott Reynolds of Craig, Colorado, the mother of his three children: Debra Ann Reynolds of Brighton, Colorado, Jeffory Allen Reynolds and wife Anita of Craig, Colorado, and Sharon Rae Reynolds of Mesa, Arizona. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and many other family members and friends.
He was born in Pittsburg New Hampshire, the fifth of six children. At the age of 22 he would enlist in the Army to serve his country during the Korean War as part of the Occupation Forces in Japan. He was honorably discharged in July of 1952 returning to New Hampshire where he met and married Dorothy Ann Wescott in 1955.
He was an avid outdoorsman, and some of the many activities he enjoyed included hunting, fishing and golfing. His greatest passion, other than his family, was all things Aviation, earning his private pilots license in 1966. He was an avid reader, loved music, and he was actively involved with the lives of his children, coaching their sports teams and supporting them in their many different activities.
He enjoyed meeting people and throughout his life had many friends. His membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints came later in his life, as did his marriage to Karen Sue Wilkinson. His enthusiasm for ministering to others was ever present. As an Elder in the church, he served God eagerly in many capacities both voluntary and assigned. He was dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
There will be a celebration of life service Saturday June 22, 2019 at 11am at the Bountiful East Stake Center 650 E 2150 S Bountiful, UT 84010.
