Born to Wanda Anderson and Leon Holman
Parley Leon Holman passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
He leaves behind wife/caretaker Sally Teal, son/wife David and Loan Holman,
Granddaughters Bella and Gabby, brother Rob Holman, and many other special family members.
He was well known as a cartoon artist and avid collector of comic books and some may remember his daily “Pappy’s Blog” which can still be found online.
Also known for his colorful cartoon shirts, Levi’s and Chuck Taylor converse high tops.
His wife would like to share a remembrance before he became so ill:
“Par and I would sit out under our covered carport and gaze at the clouds rolling by. I would point out what each cloud formation resembled, whether two dogs fighting or a familiar face, and he would smile and was very calm. This was his last time at being himself although he spoke no words. So look to the sky and picture him smiling down.”
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
A celebration of his life will be held in the near future when time and location is chosen.
