Helen L Chinsky

1926 – 2017

Helen Lorraine Chinsky (Peterson), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 4, 1926 to Charles Anshelm Peterson and Anna Elisabet Peterson (Andersson), passed away on January 14, 2017.

Helen lived in several locations prior to settling down for many years starting in the late 50’s in Lakewood, CA. She moved in 1989 to Leisure World in Seal Beach, Ca, then relocated to Atria in Sandy, UT in 2010. In 2015, she moved in with her daughter Mary in South Jordan, Utah.

Helen worked most of her life in the insurance area of health care. After retiring she was sought out to be a Senior Health Care Advocate for several health insurance companies.

She loved reading, the theater, word search puzzles, eating out, WII bowling, the Senior Center, traveling the world, and every adventure that life had to offer. She considered making it to her 90th birthday this past June a major accomplishment.

Survived by son Clifford (Sandy) Hunter and daughter Mary (Tim) Jenson, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Anna, her 5 sisters, and her husband Philip Chinsky.

There will be a graveside service at Rose Hills Memorial Park in California this summer.
