Born on July 30, 1943, in Clovis, New Mexico, David lived a life marked by service, adventure, and a deep love for family. His early years in New Mexico shaped his enduring spirit and sense of humor that would become hallmarks of his character.
David proudly served his country in both the United States Navy and the United States Marine Corps. His commitment to duty and honor was evident throughout his life and left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
Beyond his military service, David found joy in the great outdoors. He had a passion for gold prospecting, camping, and hunting—activities that reflected his adventurous nature and love for exploration. Whether searching for hidden treasures or enjoying the serenity of nature, David embraced every opportunity to connect with the world around him.
David’s family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary; sons David (Teresa) and Scott; brother Ira; brother Bobby; grandchildren Shaelynn (Trevor), and Paul; and great-grandchildren Paisley, Rylee, and Huntlee. His mother Christine; brother Ricky; and daughter-in-law Amanda preceded him in death.
Known for being caring, funny, and delightfully sarcastic, David brought laughter and warmth into every room he entered. His legacy will be remembered by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
