Patricia or more commonly known as Patty or Patsy by her family is survived by two of her three children, Marc and Lori. Patsy is also survived by sisters, Ruth Ann Klinicke, Margaret Ruggerio, and brother Paul Ruggerio.
Patricia was born on June 18th, a birthday she affectionately shared with her late husband and love of her life, Arturo. Patsy attended Central High in St. Joseph, Missouri with her younger sister Ruth Ann. Patsy’s older brother George married Patsy's sister-in-law, Nancy, when Patsy attended high school. George proudly retired from the U.S. Marine Corp.
Upon graduation, Patsy moved to Los Angeles where she met the love of her life, her husband, Arturo. They married in 1963, raising three children in a loving family environment. Retiring in 1997, they relocated to their adopted home of San Antonio. Here they spent their golden years surrounded by friends and loved ones. Patty spent much time as President of the Windcrest Women’s Club and various other City of Windcrest organizations. Patty also proudly volunteered as a teacher’s aide at their neighborhood local elementary school.
Patty and Art shared a profound love and affection for one another that lasted 49 years and recognized by all who knew them. Family meant everything to Patty and Art, and they were very much loved by their family. Both Patty and Art loved music where they socialized at dances during Art’s high-school reunions and other social gatherings. Some of Patty’s favorite artists were, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Kenny Rogers and the Bee Gees, among many more. Patty also loved reading while rocking on her swing on the patio.
On the occasion of Patty’s 72nd birthday (and Art’s milestone 80th birthday), multiple generations of family and friends gathered together in Southern California to celebrate this joyous day with family, laughter, good food and great music. Those who were on hand, and all who loved them both can take heart in light of Patty’s passing that she knew how cherished she was by so many and have some sense of peace knowing she is now with her loving husband, Art and beloved son Steven.
Patty will be greatly missed, and her love, laughter and caring will never be forgotten.
We would love to hear memories you all have of Patty and encourage you to share them as well as photos here.
