Wolfgang is survived by his wife, Karen Reich, née Bergmann; sons Gordon (Laura) and Steven (Jodi) Reich; grandchildren, Kati (Ryan), Alex, and Kristin; and great-grandson, Myers. He is preceded in death by his brother, Rolf (Ilse), and sister, Erika.
Wolfgang graduated from Lessing High School in 1951 and completed a Tool & Die Maker Apprenticeship from 1951-1956. He worked at Anker Werke in Bielefeld, Germany from 1956-1957. He then migrated to the United States and started working at the U.S. headquarters of Anker Werke from 1960-1976. Wolfgang completed his career working for Weiler Engineering from 1980 until his retirement in 2000.
He was actively involved in the LTS Table Tennis Club, Bremerhaven from 1951-1957. Wolfgang had a deep love and appreciation for music and was a proud member of the Rheinischer Gesang Verein, Chicago, IL, from 1959-2025, where he sang Active II Tenor and was the Club financial secretary. Memorable moments with the club were traveling to Germany for concerts as well as social club activities like picnics, Mardi Gras, and comradery.

Memorial Visitation Monday, June 16th from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church; 11008 N. Church Street; Huntley, Illinois 60142. Interment Private.
