William James Hammers

William leaves behind his loving wife, Kathleen Marion Hammers; sons, Patrick (Patty) Hammers, Michael (Pamela) Hammers, and Christopher Hammers; stepchildren, Ernest (Diane) Myerson, Janet Myerson (Kris Kalapos), and Michael Myerson (Kellie Poliquin); and beloved grandchildren, Travis, Nichole, Britney, Gianna, and Simon.

"Bill" was an incredibly loving and friendly person who put others happiness before his own. He proudly served for 17 years as as Police Officer in both Elmhurst and Niles Illinois. Bill and Kathy married on St. Patrick’s Day of 1990 and enjoyed life in both Arlington Hts. and Palatine together. His smile was the warmest when on the dancefloor with Kathy. He had a love of board & card games, especially poker. Bill owned and operated his own limousine service which he aptly named “Time Bandit." Bill dreamt of winning the lotto and would spoil his loved ones with ideas he had for traveling the world together. Bill’s passing will be mourned by all who had the good fortune of knowing him. He will forever be in our hearts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 27th from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Willow Creek Condos Clubhouse; 242 S. Clubhouse Drive, Palatine, IL 60074.
