Tom was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He left this world at the young age of 69 after fighting dementia.
Tom married the love of his life Vickie, October 23, 1993. He was the son of Joseph and Mary Volpe. He grew up in Chicago and worked as a Director of Engineering, spending the major of his career at Hyatt Hotels. Tom loved his work, and did it with great passion. He also loved fast cars, the stock market, but mostly spending time with family and friends.
His greatest joy was his family, especially his daughter, MaKayla, she was the light of his life.
Tom will be remembered for his hard work ethic and his ability to make people laugh. He was a great storyteller, jokester, always quick with a funny remark or a hug. He was dependable, someone you could always count on, generous and always willing to lend a helping hand.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Vickie, his daughter MaKayla, his siblings Rosemary Ernquist, and Michael (Michelle) Volpe, siblings through marriage Russell (Diane) Osmun, and Valerie (Rob) Radzwilowicz. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew.
Tom is preceded in death by his father and mother Joseph and Mary Volpe.
A celebration of life is being scheduled.
