He was born to parents Thomas and Lorraine (Gerhke) Havert on July 3, 1944, in Kenderville, Indiana before relocating to Lake Villa, Illinois for most of his life. Tom served proudly in the Marine Corps from 1963-1967 serving in the Vietnam War, earning Sergeant ranking. Tom enjoyed fishing, golfing, completing puzzles and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks. He never took himself or life too seriously and always said his goal was to make people smile.
Tom was blessed with many family members including daughters, Darlene Havert and Heather (Dan) Lamb; grandchildren, Fox Sizemore, Payton and Olivia Lamb; sisters, Linda Walker, Dorene Posson and LaVonne Pullen; brothers Chuck Havert, Billy (Jean) Havert and Mark (Sue) Havert along with numerous nieces and nephews, all whom he loved dearly.
Tom declined any formal services, but a private celebration of life is scheduled with family. Tom will be missed dearly. Rest in peace and love.
