The first born to Thomas and Leanor (Koehler) Fuller on January 31, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. Tom was raised in Mt. Prospect, Illinois.
After high school graduation Tom joined the US Air Force and became a medic. After his discharge he went on to work in the medical field in a variety of settings throughout California and Nevada.
He returned to his home town to attend college, first at Harper College and finally at the University of Illinois at Chicago, receiving a bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1994. Tom spent most of his nursing career as a certified Occupational Health nurse in a variety of settings, the most recent being Baxter Distribution center in Round Lake.
Tom enjoyed playing guitars, electric and acoustic, especially leading worship with his wife, Debbi. Tom loved spending time with his son, Zachary, teaching him to play pool and jamming with him on the drums. Tom enjoyed fishing, painting, gardening, home renovation and rooting for Da’ Bears.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Todd.
He is survived by his wife, Debra (Dale) Fuller, his brother, Tim Fuller (Darlene), his daughter Cher (Mark) Gambale, stepsons Kris Dale (granddaughter Eva) and Randy Gilbert, stepdaughter Emily Gilbert (granddaughters, Makaylynn and DellaRay) and his son Zachary Thomas Fuller, plus numerous cousins and extended family.
The family would like to thank Journey Care Hospice for their tender care of Tom and the support of our family.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 18th at 11:00am at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 N. Hicks Road in Palatine, IL. The service will be live streamed on YouTube at You tube/prince of peace. Live. Visiting hours begin at 9:30am. A luncheon will follow.
Interment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery with military honors in Kent, Washington.
