Sara Skolnik passed away in Evanston IL on July 21, 2017 from lung cancer. Sara was born in Simsbury Connecticut on October 17, 1949 to Sarah and David Andrew. She leaves behind her husband Robert, two daughters, Rachel (Joe) and Mary, and a nephew Ari (Christin) who she raised. She was preceded in death by her son Jack and her brother Jim (Pam). She also leaves her brother Fred (Marion), 3 granddaughters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Sara was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a teacher and editor of a literary magazine, and wrote fiction. She was an inspirational person who challenged many to do more with themselves. She will be deeply missed.
