Robert Fisher of Buffalo Gove, IL passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at the age of 93. He was born on May 2, 1930 in Chicago, IL where he grew up. Moving to Buffalo Grove then retiring (and becoming a snowbird) to The Villages in Florida. However his happy place was at Rock River Leisure Estates outside of Janesville Wisconsin.
He was a Journeyman Plumber with Local 130 for over 45 years.
Dad was a Proud Marine serving in Korea. He loved nature and always had the birds and squirrels well fed wherever he lived. He enjoyed time spent with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Carla (Cornelius) Fisher, his wife Jean (Day) Fisher, and a son Robert Fisher
He is survived by his daughters, Mari (Tom) Smith, Patrice Marzano, and Beth (Mervin) Tuzon; a daughter-in-law, Jill (Robert) Fisher; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren
Our dad was the kindest of souls with an amazing sense of humor. He lived his life with peace and love.
The family would like to thank the staff at Journey Care, for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in his final days
Family and friends are invited to attend a mass and celebration of his life in May. The date will be announced later.
Interment will follow at Windridge Memorial Park in Cary, Illinois.
