September 29, 1942 - February 2, 2025
Preceded by parents William and Sylvia. Richard is survived by his wife of 57 years Roberta. Father to 3 boys Jon (Lorena), Ed, and Bill (Jodi), 2 grandkids Soulee and Brox, brother Jerry (Karen), and many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
Rich was a lifelong photographer, personally and professionally. He had an eye that was able to capture the special moments in life. He photographed everything from the beautiful arches of Utah to his grandchildren growing up. He was there to capture the beauty of it all.
Rich’s kind heart and humor meant that he never met a stranger and made everyone feel welcome. When he wasn’t spending special time with his family or friends, he enjoyed the little moments in life. His family fondly remembers him taking them on endless cross country road trips where they listened to audio tapes of movies like Airplane and Blazing Saddles. Ask the boys, they still remember the quotes to this day.
When not spending precious time with his family, Rich could be found reading, bowling a 700, or even designing the web site for the Society of the Third Infantry Division. He also loved the outdoors. Rich spent many afternoons gardening, yelling at the Cubs on the radio, or grilling.
He happily devoted time to sharing his father’s WWII photos with everyone at www.Warfoto.com.
Rich’s grandkids were always there to feed his chocolate addiction and listen to the “best” papa jokes. His friends were like family. Family was one of the most important things in Rich’s life. We hope that all of his friends and family will forever keep him in their hearts.
