Richard Bartoszewski of Hoffman Estates, Illinois passed away November 8, 2019 at the age of 65. Rich was born March 8, 1954 in Chicago to Richard Bartoszewski (deceased) and Theresa Bartoszewski (deceased). Rich enjoyed spending time with his four daughters and was overjoyed when he welcomed two son-in-laws to the family. Rich loved watching football on Saturdays, especially Illinois and Minnesota games. Rich, a graduate of the University of Illinois, with a B.S. in biology and an associates in accounting from Harper College, retired from Silesia Flavors in 2018. One of Rich’s proudest achievements was being an Eagle Scout. Since May 2019, Rich fought a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife Michele (nee Pacini) of 36 years, four daughters, Megan (Ken) Wiesner of Hoffman Estates, IL, Christina (Matthew) Scardigli of Ham Lake, MN, Heather Bartoszewski of Hopkins, MN ,and Alyssa Ayala of Hoffman Estates, IL. Fond son-in-law of Lawrence Pacini (deceased) and Marianne Pacini (deceased). Fond brother-in-law of Laura Pacini, Angelo Pacini, Lisa Pacini, Victor Pacini and Renee Ayala (deceased). Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews and survived by many cousins. Rich was preceded in death by his parents and sister Nancy Long.
A celebration of Rich’s life will be held between 4 PM and 9 PM, Thursday November 14, 2019 at Chandlers, 401 N Roselle Rd, Schaumburg with a prayer service beginning at 8 PM.
